Normally you wouldn’t see XFX and Radeon in the same sentence. It seems that XFX has now put its money on AMD/ATI and will be producing a limited edition Radeon 5970 with not 1, 2 but FOUR gigs of memory. It also has SIX mini DisplayPort supporting Eyefinity 6.

The initial design versions were measured at 12.125″ in length. However the final design COULD be longer. Even with the higher power consumption, it will still require less juice to power than a GeForce 480.

If you’re wondering about cost, it’s looking like these will hit the streets at around $799-850 dollars. No, it’s not for everyone. However, if you want the most badass graphics card to date, then look no further. So far no release date has been set.

On an added note, it seems that other vendors will also have their own version of the 4GB monster. Asus should have one as well amongst others.
